Do You Want to Attract Your Ideal Client?

Regardless of your niche, you can attract your ideal client to you. Attracting your ideal client can seem like an overwhelming task. However, it does not have to be. Let’s dig in a little deeper.

So, What Can You Do to Attract Your Ideal Client?

First, you need to know what your ideal client looks like. Take the time for the homework. Who needs your products or services? What age and gender are we targetting? Where do they live? What do they do for work? What do they like and dislike? What do they enjoy? What are their interests? Do they have families? What is their marital status? What do they drive? Where do they shop? I think that you get the idea.

Brainstorm a list of questions about your potential ideal clients. Then, do the research to answer the questions. Where do you go to find the answers? Google Search is one of your best friends when it comes to research.  Facebook, Yelp, and Twitter are just a few social platforms that can provide you with valuable data on potential ideal clients. Also, go visit your local chamber of commerce. You will be pleasantly surprised what you can learn about the community from your local chamber.

Be a Role Model

Second, be the role model. You have to be like the person that you are trying to attract. So, if you are selling jewelry, then you need to wear the jewelry. If you are providing a service such as personal shopper, then you need to know how and where to shop and then actually get out there and do it.

Third, focus on solutions to problems and needs. Once you have identified your ideal client, you should focus on providing solutions to their problems. In other words, you have to fill a need. Again, brainstorming is a necessity. What problems do your ideal clients have? Now, how can your products or services solve those problems? You have to be seen as the expert with the solutions.

Fourth, be curious. Ask questions. Once you have identified some ideal clients, start asking them questions about their lives. Listen to their answers. How could your products or services help meet their needs and solve their problems? If possible, offer to a special product sample for the client to try. Or, if you are providing a service, give the person a discount on the first time service.

Get Over Yourself

Lastly, get over yourself. Do what you have to do to make the sale or to provide the needed service. Are you afraid to start a conversation with strangers at networking events? Well, just take a deep breath and go to talk the strangers anyway. You can always practice at home or on the drive over the networking event. Everybody needs a little introduction speech prepared ahead of time. Are you afraid that Facebook Live video on your business page? I understand completely. However,  go fix your hair and face. Put on some clothes that you enjoy wearing.  Prepare what you are going to say and then practice it. Get your station where you plan to video set up. Get some proper lighting and a good video camera such as your computer or smartphone camera. Then, go for it!

You can attract your ideal client. It may take some work. Yet, the hard work is definitely worth it!
