Choice

Do You Have a Choice?

Do you have a choice? In every situation, you have a choice. Now, I know that sometimes it does not feel that way. However, no matter how bad things are. You do have a choice.

So, what do you do? Do you give up and walk away from bad situation or happening? Or, do you try to learn from it and keep going? Well, it really depends on the situation.

Every Grambler Knows

Have you ever heard of Kenny Rogers? He is one of my most favorite Country Music singer. Rogers has a song entitled The Gambler.

In this song is a life lesson. The base theme of the song is you have to know when to keep on keeping and when to walk away and cut your losses.

So again, what do you do when things don’t go your way? Do you give up when you have a bump in the road? Or, do you shift that attitude of yours and look at the situation in a different light? Here, again, it is a choice.

Questions to Ask

Can you ask yourself three simple questions? These simple questions should help you made a better decision about your situation.

  1. What am I suppose to learn from this situation? You can learn from failure and success. It is important to learn from every situation if you want or don’t want the situation to continue to repeat itself.
  2. What am I suppose to get from this situation? Yes, you do get from a situation. Sometimes, you might be getting caught up in the drama and excitement of a bad situation. There are times when you have to step away from a situation. Other times, you might be in a win-win situation and getting what you need to continue with that success.
  3. What is my take away from this situation? This question requires some objective on your part. If you have a problem with objective, them you can always team up with a partner to help you with the answer.

Go through the answers to these questions to determine what your best course of action is. They can help you to decide what you can and cannot control. Then, it is time to readjust and move forward.

After all, progress not perfection should be our goal. Do you have a choice? The answer is a definite YES.
