Facebook announced that were some big changes coming in the next few months. Initially, the announcement made me just a little bit afraid. After all, I am a small business owner who depends on Facebook. However, I got motivated and did homework on the changes that are coming down the pike.
After doing my research, it seemed like Facebook was trying to get back to its roots. In the beginning, Facebook was focused on building relationships between family and friends. It just made sense that Facebook would make this move. When I had this realization, I was able to back up and see that this was a good move for Facebook and us small business owners. We should be all about building relationships with their clients.
In truth, my own Newsfeed has really gotten clogged up with spam. Most of the spam does not add value to my experience with Facebook. So, the Facebook announcement has actually sparked some excitement for me.
Granted, as a small business owner, I am going to have to step up my game with my business pages. My postings need to be engaging and add value for my target audience. Thus, the concept of Attraction Marketing has taken on greater meaning for me. The definition of attraction marketing is simple. It is basically the progress of attracting interested prospects to you who already want what you have to offer.
Attraction Marketing is where it is at and what I am going to be focusing on in the coming months. Whether I am using passive or active marketing strategies, my goal is to add value to my social media marketing. I want to engage my target audience in such a way that they will want to check out my business pages because I have added to their lives in a positive way!
So, let’s relax and enjoy the ride!
