Over the last two weeks, I have been in training on how to use
Facebook groups to build my business. The training was very helpful and really confirmed what I already knew. We have to build relationships in Facebook groups.
Truly, building relationships within the Facebook groups is the very best way to build our business. People buy and join a person that they know. Quiet honestly, I do not blame them. So, that being said, we have to show ourselves as someone that others can trust.
Let’s Get Started
Before joining a Facebook group, we need to think about what we are looking for in a group. Are you looking for friendship? Professional networking? Hobbies? Interests? Make a decision about what you are needing. Then, go to the group discover section of facebook and search for your ideal groups.
Did you find a few prospective ones? Good! Next, we should get to know the rules for operation. Take the time to carefully read the group rules. Can you follow those rules? Yes, then go ahead and join the group. If the answer is no, go look for another one to join. It is that simple.
Once you have join the group, take the time to get to know the people. Some groups will expect you to introduce yourself. Others do not. It is always a good idea to thank the administrators for your acceptance into the group due to the fact that you can be declined.
Now, go meet the other members. Take the time to read, like, and comment on their postings. Make some of your own postings. Just follow the general conversation of the group. Get to know the active participants. Make some connections and friendships. When the time arises, you can bring up your business and what you do.
Using Facebook groups to build a business is very much like courting. First, you have introductions and small chat. Then, you go out and have more in-depth conversations. Those deeper conversations will eventually lead to more of a commitment from the individuals. Well, it takes the same relationship building skills to build a business using Facebook groups.
It is definitely a win-win situation. You get to meet new people and build relationships through the Facebook groups. Plus, you have the opportunity to introduce those new friends to your business.
