common path

Follow the Common Path or Uncommon Trail.

“Do not follow the common path. Go where there is no path and leave a trail.” What comes to mind when you read these statements? Maybe, a lot of different thoughts come to mind. However, the risk is what pops out to me.

Now, the topic of risk can be an uncomfortable one. Most of us do not like change. Add a chance to the mix. Well, that can be scary.

Risk can look like many things. Mountain climbing is risky. Yet, so is changing your hair color.

I am not one to climb a mountain. However, I have a cousin who is a daredevil. He climbs mountains and flies planes. I tend to go with a safer risk.

For those of us in business, we do have to take some risks. Here again, I instead go with a safe chance so that I do not lose everything and then some.

The next question comes up. Can you go with a safe risk and still follow a unique path?

Safe Risk and Unique Path

In my way of thinking, the answer is yes. It just depends on what the path is. Your route depends upon your choices.

Those choices all go back to your thinking process. You can have a mind shift that can impact the choices that you make.

With a new path, there will be challenges. When you have difficulties, struggle usually follows. Look upon these struggles and challenges as opportunities to grow. This attitude can cause a mind shift for us.

Through our struggles and challenges, we can grow. As a result, we should get stronger and enable ourselves to take on more change.

During those times of growth, self-care has to be a significant concern. Good self-care is a must. Otherwise, health problems can arise.

So, it is up to you. For me, I opt for a safer risk in business. With this path, I plan to move my business forward.
