Have You Recently Signed Up with a Direct Selling Company?

Have you recently signed up with a direct selling company?  Are you feeling just a little bit overwhelmed and confused?

Believe me, I know the feeling. I felt like a goat in a snowstorm. I really had no idea where to start. Luckily, I had a great sponsor and coach who put me on the right track. However, that is not always the case.

I remember thinking that very thought eight years ago when I got into direct selling. I had never sold anything except whatever my kids were selling for their school and extra curriculum activities.

My sponsor and coach told me to start with the company’s training. She also suggested that I  get to know the products. That was the best advice that she could have given me.

Know Your Products

When you sign up with a direct selling company, you need to know the products.  You will be viewed as the expert on your product line. Thus, it is important to get to know your products.

One of the best ways to get to know your products is to become a product of the products. In other words, use your products and get everyone in your household to do the same.

Get Into Your Back Office

Get to know the back office of your direct selling company’s representative site. This back office is your go-to place for your company’s training. Most likely, it is also a place where you can manage your orders, customers, and potential recruits. Some direct selling companies have social selling training and tools in the back office.

Now, you need to think about your company’s printed materials.  Check out the printed materials and company branded items that are available to you. Also, you may want to consider purchasing some business cards with your name, company, and contact information. If you are into technology, you can create a digital business card that you can share with potential customers and recruits.

Use Some Swag

Don’t forget to check out the company swag. You can usually purchase the branded materials through the company or a vendor contracted by your direct selling company. The swag can range from branded tees, pens, yard signs, and car magnets or screens to put on your windows.

If you cannot find the printed materials and swag that you are looking for with your company, then I recommend  They offer a variety of custom products that you can use for your new biz.

Just jump in with both feet and learn all that you can. You will be glad that you did.
