Aim for audience growth. Use the Build, Engage, and then Sell model to refocus your thoughts. You want to build your audience first. Two main sources for building are your Facebook audience and your email subscribers list of customers and prospects.
Create engaging content. This content can be created through a blog, postings, Facebook live, emails, and training.
Real, honest communication is needed. This conversation could be one-on-one or one to a group. In either, the goal is to build trust and relationship. The mode of communication might be through one to one conversation over the phone or messenger, Facebook live, speaking in webinar, or teaching in a training.
Conversion should be our business goal. Having the ability to convert leads into buying customers is important. However, there has to be an exchange. The business owner must give value in exchange for the consumer’s purchase.
Remaining consistent and persistent through the ups and downs helps us to continue to grow our businesses. There will be good and bad days. Yet, we business owners must remain consistent and persistent if we are to grow.
Three Mindsets to We Need to Avoid
“A Know It All” mindset kills the opportunity for us to continue our learning. In all honesty, I have come to realize the more I learn the less I know. We all benefit from continued learning. To become a lifelong learner should be one of our goals as business owners.
“Just Got to Work Harder” mindset will wear us out and cause burnout. It is okay to ask for help from family or friends or to even hire the needed help. We need to use our time management skills to our benefit. Sometimes, it is a matter of just streamlining tasks and projects. Plus, getting our work space organized so that we can find things easily is a must.
“No Money for Investing” mindset can be tough. We need to invest in ourselves. Our investment might look like continuing education classes at the local college, or coaching from an expert in our field. We are definitely worth the investment. It is money well spent.
Success Factors for Consideration
Be willing to follow one course of action until you find success there. If you are growing your audience on Facebook, then stick with it. Once you have mastered Facebook, then add another social media platform to your plan of action.
Being willing to accept feedback. Honest, critical feedback helps a person to see objectively what needs to change.
Make accountability of the daily and weekly action plan. Finding an accountability partner is a gift that move you forward. Also, track daily and weekly progress so that you can go evaluate your activities. Are those activities producing the needed results that you want?
