Side gig? Yes, a side gig! Today, a lot of folks are looking for a way to supplement their income. A side business is sometimes a perfect way to bring that extra needed cash into a household.
After a while that side business may even become the full time business for these individuals. It is really all about locking into your passion and marrying it to an opportunity that you can strive in.
So, what do you love? What do you read and study? What do you dream about doing? Do you want more control over your work schedule? Do you want to be your own boss? Do you want to set your own earnings?
Or, do you just want to earn a little extra money to pay off accumulated debt, help to pay for a vacation, or to buy yourself a special treat?
The answers to these questions will make a difference in the direction that you go in. They will also influence the type of business or opportunity that you pursue. You should explore your options.
If your regular job permits it, you might consider freelancing in your existing field. There are plenty of websites that can aid you in getting freelance work. Of course, word of mouth is still one of the best way to pick up extra work on the side in your existing field.
If you are considering a direct selling opportunity, first start by becoming a customer of the product or service. Also, check to see if the direct selling opportunity that you are considering is a member of professional associations.
What are some professional association in the Direct Selling industry? The Direct Selling Association and the World Federation of Direct Selling Association are two associations. Companies who are members have to meet high standards to become members of these associations.
Talk to Others
Talk to friends and family members who are independent contractors for companies that you are considering joining. You might even try on some of these companies to see which one is good match for you. When you find that opportunity or business that clicks with you and your situation, you will know it.
Personally, I have sold for at least six other companies besides my current business opportunity. I tried these companies on to see if they were right for me. It is all about being true to yourself and listening to your gut.
There is no better feeling than when your passion marries the right opportunity. I know because I am speaking from first-hand experience.
