What Are You Marketing?

What are you marketing? Do you have a product or service? If the answer is yes, great! If no, then let us back up for  just a few minutes.

If you are looking to make some extra income, you  need to figure out how you are going to generate it. One possible option is to search the field of direct sales. When looking at different possible company options, tune into your interests and hobbies.

If you are going to promote a product or service, it needs to be something that you love! Passion drives a person when nothing else will.  Select a product, service and/or company that you will light you on fire.

Once you have decided on your product or service, learn all you can! Take the time to learn about your choice. If your company offers training, take advantage of it.

Find out who the leaders are in your company. Who is really rocking it? Connect with them on social media and, if possible, attend events where they are going to be  feature speakers.

Do you have any coaches or mentors in your up-line or company’s membership? These people have been where you are. Are they willing teach you? If not, then keep looking until you find a coach or mentor that is willing to work with you.

Who is your target audience? Who needs what you are promoting? Your job is to fill a need. The bigger the need, the greater the opportunity for you!

Will you market to females or males or both? What age group needs your products or services? Where do these people hang out?

You can talk to your up-line or company representatives.  They should be able to help you find the answers to these questions. You should hone your audience.

Now, how will you promote your products or services? It makes sense to do so online and on social media. However, can you also promote through face to face opportunities? If the answer is yes, I recommend face to face and online.

Networking online and face to face are the fastest approaches to build your business. When networking face to face, take advantage of your local chamber of commerce events, fairs, and festivals. There should also be some special meetup groups in your area.

Get yourself to these networking events.  Likewise, online marketing is definitely a must. Learn as much as you can about marketing on social media.

Being a life long learner is a necessity. Just keep learning is your best bet. Be consistency and persistent. In other words, keep on keeping on.
